Testing Claude Code's Auto-Derived Task Cards: Helpful but Can Spiral

Dotey discusses a practical feature in Claude Code (desktop version): while executing a current task, it proactively records peripheral issues discovered along the way—similar to creating tracking tickets during a code review—and turns these follow-up tasks into clickable cards.
Users can execute these follow-up tasks directly in the current chat, a new conversation, or in the cloud. However, the feature currently has UX drawbacks: it continuously spawns new cards (e.g., a main task spawns 5, which then spawn 1-2 more), making cleanup time-consuming. Also, users cannot select the model when starting a new conversation. As a workaround, users can hover over the cards to view details, manually copy and merge them, and feed them back to the Agent in one go.
