AI Generates KiCad File from Hand-Drawn Schematic, Produces Working PCB in 10 Minutes
debreuil · x · 2026-08-11
A developer demonstrated the potential of AI in hardware manufacturing workflows by feeding a picture of a hand-wired, button-activated laser pointer circuit to an AI. The AI successfully generated a KiCad file, which was then imported directly into CopperKit to cut out a functional printed circuit board in just 10 minutes.
