Beyond Logs: Why True AI Agents Need Trustworthy Persistent State

Most AI agent "memory" is merely a trajectory log re-stuffed into the next prompt. A log records interactions but fails to provide structured recall, tenant scope, or durable writes that other agents can trust.

If an agent's state dies with the process, it is essentially just a tool loop, not a true agent.
