Modular Code-Driven Prototype for 3D Character Creation

A developer showcased a new prototype for 3D character creation. The character is entirely code-driven, utilizing invisible bones and generated body parts, with soft-cel lighting painted directly into the mesh instead of traditional texture maps.

The creator currently features dials for face, eyes, hair style, hair color, facial hair, and skin. Flipping a dial doesn't swap a whole model; instead, individual meshes tear off and regrow from a recipe on the hand-rolled skeleton. The developer plans to add more options and move on to features like armor sets.
