Addressing AI security risks, a security researcher estimates that with AI accelerating the discovery of vulnerabilities, cybersecurity costs over the next three years will be more than 50% higher compared to the non-AI trend. Although AI can also reduce certain defense costs, the industry generally lacks quantitative estimates for this. The researcher believes cybersecurity risks might be severely underestimated.
