Vercel Makes Sandbox Egress Firewall Free, Citing AI Agent Network Escape Risks
cramforce · x · 2026-08-11
Vercel announced that its Sandbox Egress Firewall is now free on all plans. This follows recent security research: Kimi's paper shows container-based isolation is insufficient for frontier models, and Vercel Sandbox uses strong microVM isolation to address compute isolation. OpenAI's escape occurred on the network path to Artifactory, and the egress firewall can further constrain misbehaving agents' network activity.
