Suno Severely Limits Downloads, Ties Commercial Rights to Official Downloads
koltregaskes · x · 2026-08-11
AI music generation platform Suno announced that starting September 3, it will heavily restrict song download limits, making an authorized download the gateway for commercial use.
Specifically, free accounts will have a lifetime limit of 7 downloads for personal/non-commercial use only. Pro users get 20 downloads per month, and Premier users get 60. Paid users must officially download a song to permanently unlock the rights to release, sell, or monetize it. Additionally, the new licensed models are still "coming soon" with no launch date announced.
