Debunking the 'AI Transformation Flop': 3 Years Is All It Takes

The author strongly rebuts the recent narrative that "predictions of AI radically transforming the world have been a complete flop." He points out that it has only been three years since the release of GPT-3.5.
Drawing an analogy to the history of the internet, he argues that deciding the internet wouldn't be a big deal in 1993 would have been a terrible judgment. Similarly, in just three years, we have witnessed AI evolve from GPT-3.5 to advanced models like Fable, an pace of transformation that cannot be ignored.
