Cursor Launches 'Thermo-Nuclear' Skill for Extreme Code Quality Review
NielsRogge · x · 2026-08-11
Cursor's official plugin repository introduced a new skill named thermo-nuclear-code-quality-review. It acts as an extremely strict maintainability reviewer, focusing on deep audits of abstraction quality, giant files, and spaghetti-condition growth.
Beyond identifying local cleanups, the skill pushes reviewers to look for "code judo" moves—restructurings that preserve behavior while making the implementation dramatically simpler, smaller, and more elegant.
