FlolightC · x · 2026-08-10
Meta Superintelligence Labs has introduced Muse Glimmer, a new open-source agentic model released under the Apache 2.0 license.
- Model Specs: A 30-billion-parameter model optimized for always-on local agent workflows.
- Hardware: Small enough to run locally on a Mac or PC with a single consumer GPU, enabling offline capabilities.
- Core Use Cases: Delivers strong performance in local agents, function calling, local coding, and LLM-as-a-judge evaluation compared to peers in its size class.
- Ecosystem: Open weights are available on Hugging Face. Optimized integrations for llama.cpp, MLX, and ExecuTorch are rolling out soon to help developers build local agents in minutes.
