Meta Releases Open-Source 30B Agent Model MuseGlimmer, Runs on Mac and Consumer GPUs
APPSO · wechat · 2026-08-10
Meta Superintelligence Labs releases MuseGlimmer, a 30B-parameter open-weight agent model under Apache 2.0. Designed for always-on local agents, it runs on Mac or PCs with a single consumer GPU, works offline, and can call local tools, manage files, write code, and process screenshots. Meta uses quantization to compress weights to 4-bit (<20GB) and a DFlash-based speculative decoding for fast inference. The model excels in SWE-Bench and includes multimodal perception and error recovery. Zuckerberg emphasizes open source and putting superintelligence in everyone's hands.
