Meta Officially Releases Muse Glimmer: An Open Agentic Model That Runs on Your Device
aigclink · x · 2026-08-10
Meta Superintelligence Labs introduced Muse Glimmer, a 30-billion-parameter model optimized for always-on local agent workflows. Small enough to run on a Mac or PC with a single consumer GPU, it enables offline use cases like local agents, coding, and LLM-as-a-judge evaluation.
The model weights are open-sourced under the permissive Apache 2.0 license on Hugging Face. Meta stated the model is specifically trained for targeted local tasks, delivering strong performance in its size category. Optimized integrations for llama.cpp, MLX, and ExecuTorch will arrive in the coming days to help developers quickly build and deploy local agents.
