Doubao E-commerce Introduces Independent Fees: ~12% Commission on Hotel Orders

Douyin has adjusted its service fee rates for orders redirected via Doubao, launching an independent fee structure for categories like accommodation and lifestyle services. The comprehensive fee rate for hotel orders is around 12%, and about 18% for lifestyle services, significantly higher than the previous standard rates of 2.5% to 8%.
Doubao introduced shopping and hotel booking features in April this year. This shift to independent billing suggests that its referral order volume has reached a scale significant enough to calculate ROI separately.
