According to a recent article by Semi Analysis, Google has reportedly and silently cancelled the release of Gemini 3.5 Pro.
Commentators suggest that cancelling the model after its initial announcement would be a poor look for Google. Furthermore, judging by DeepMind's broader research direction, there remains industry uncertainty whether the current LLM paradigm is the right path toward achieving AGI.
