Tripo P2 Early Test: AI Can Now Generate Perfect Low Poly with Logical Segmentation
nicolascraske · x · 2026-08-10
Early access tests of the AI 3D generation tool Tripo P2 show major breakthroughs in mesh generation. It can finally generate real quads and allows users to set their own polygon count.
The mesh intelligently allocates density, using fewer polygons on flat surfaces and more on detailed areas. Most importantly, the mesh features logical segmentation instead of a single welded blob—clicking an eye in Blender selects the whole eye component, demonstrating topology that mirrors how an artist would actually build it.
