OpenAI Sunsets Atlas Browser Less Than Ten Months After Launch

OpenAI announced that its Atlas browser hit its shutdown date on August 9th, less than ten months after launch.
The company noted that switching browsers was a hard sell since users already had established bookmarks, passwords, and habits in Chrome. However, the capabilities aren't gone; they have been moved into the ChatGPT desktop app, a Chrome extension, and Codex.
