FinanceYF5 · x · 2026-08-10
According to the official Anthropic blog, Claude Code will enable Auto Mode by default for Pro, Max, and Team plans starting August 14, supporting longer-running autonomous work.
The company stated that the Auto Mode classifier uses a small number of extra tokens per tool call, and they will no longer charge users on these plans for the classifier overhead effective today. Enterprise, API, and cloud platform versions will remain opt-in for now.
