Anthropic Attributes Claude Billing Glitch to UI Caching Bug

Addressing recent user reports of unexpected billing issues with Claude, Anthropic stated they are 95% confident the root cause is a configuration caching bug. The team clarified that this is strictly a UI-only issue and does not incorrectly consume subscription limits.
A fix has already been deployed via a config update. Users can resolve the display issue immediately by restarting Claude or waiting a few hours for the cache to flush naturally.
