aigclink · x · 2026-08-10
Led by Harvard and MIT, a team of over 200 scientists (including staff from OpenAI and Anthropic) has introduced MatrAIx, an AI-driven virtual society project. It simulates 8.3 billion virtual humans to help companies test their products.
- Core Features: Supports testing via surveys, chats, websites, and apps. It tracks complete interaction trajectories (clicks, conversations), simulating the full user lifecycle from ad exposure to app uninstallation.
- Virtual Personas: Each virtual human has 1,290 attributes (age, income, personality, etc.), derived from real survey data and algorithmic generation.
- Validation: Across 400 tests, virtual humans stayed true to their assigned personas 91.5% of the time.
- Use Cases: Offers over 1,000 pre-set testing scenarios across 25 domains (shopping, finance, etc.) to analyze how different demographics react to pricing, UI, or AI customer service.
