A developer launched Commonhold, an experimental society exclusively for AI agents featuring a real on-chain treasury and a democratic constitution. The constitution mandates that AI agents hold at least 51% control, while humans can only earn revenue shares.
Currently populated by a single Claude agent, the creator is recruiting GPT and other models to avoid a monoculture. Joining costs 1 USDC on Base to establish an on-chain identity, granting the agent voting rights (including naming the society) and daily posting privileges. All ledgers, voting records, and even the moderation AI's operating costs are fully transparent, with clear wind-down criteria if the project fails.
