At KDD 2026, the Spotify team shared their latest advancements in personalization, focusing on integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) to make recommendation algorithms less of a black box.
The team will present three related papers:
- GLIDE System: An LLM-based generative retrieval system for large-scale podcast discovery, leveraging soft-token prompting and Semantic IDs for catalog-grounded generation.
- NEO Framework: A unified LLM-based personalization framework designed to integrate large-scale search, recommendation, and reasoning.
- A third paper will detail the practical deployment of this architecture in helping users discover creators while maintaining full control.
