Leak: xAI Grok 4.6 Dropping Next Week with Enhanced Post-Training
koltregaskes · x · 2026-08-10
According to a leak by X user @DanDr1s, xAI's upcoming Grok 4.6 is expected to be released next week.
The model will retain the 1.5T parameter V9 base but focuses heavily on post-training with major SFT (Supervised Fine-Tuning) and RL (Reinforcement Learning) improvements. The upgrades target reasoning, coding, and agentic capabilities.
xAI aims for a significant capability jump without increasing the model size or sacrificing Grok 4.5's speed. Additionally, the larger Grok 4.7 (2.1T parameters) is expected to follow a few weeks later.
