Google SDK Leak Reveals 'Gemini 4 Flash' Reference
Rare_Bunch4348 · reddit · 2026-08-10
A developer discovered that Google's public Gemini tokenizer code accidentally contains a reference to gemini-4-flash-preview, mapped to a new Gemma 4 tokenizer family.
This strongly suggests that Gemini 4 Flash Preview exists internally and is being prepared for developer tooling. However, it remains unclear whether Google will ultimately release it as Gemini 3.7 Flash or Gemini 4 Flash.
