svpino: AI Code Outperforms Most Humans, Line-by-Line Review Is Outdated
petrusenko_max · x · 2026-08-09
Developer svpino shared his experience and mindset shift after using AI-generated code for two weeks. He noted that state-of-the-art coding agents now write better code than most humans, although they still require experienced guidance.
He found that the main issues with AI-generated code were stylistic, with no obvious bugs. Since tracking every single line is difficult and inefficient, he believes developers should spend their time verifying overall system behavior rather than conducting detailed code reviews. The focus of coding has shifted from manually writing every line to higher-level system orchestration.
