An indie developer transitioning from SaaS shared the latest progress on their first hardware product. They are developing a handheld AI device designed for kids, and the Proof of Concept (POC) is already complete.
The product has now entered the Engineering Validation Test (EVT) phase. The developer mentioned that PCBs have been ordered and all components are ready for testing. Acknowledging that hardware development requires multiple iterations and is time-consuming, they remain confident in shipping the product and building more in the future.
