A senior developer expressed deep frustration with Claude's recent safeguard changes, noting that their team faces constant, unpredictable blocks during normal development tasks like UI changes and refactoring. Their application for the Cybersecurity Verification Program was also declined.
The excessive false positives pushed the team to test alternatives like Grok 4.5, which allowed them to work without fighting the model over harmless requests. The developer warned that if Anthropic doesn't address these overly aggressive safeguards, capable developers will inevitably migrate to competitors.
