Open-source interactive brain atlas: click any region to see its function
prasenx · x · 2026-08-09
Developer @prasenx shared Brain Explorer, an open-source interactive 3D anatomical brain atlas application. Built with Next.js, the project allows users to click on any region of a 3D brain model directly in the browser to instantly view its anatomical name and physiological function.
The project bundles a 3D model generated from public medical datasets (OpenNeuro) and provides complete data provenance and transformation scripts, making it easy for developers interested in medical visualization to deploy locally and build upon.
