JPMorgan: AI Chips May Need Over $2T in 5 Years, Fueling Bond Markets

Bloomberg reports, citing JPMorgan, that hyperscalers are shifting from cash-flow-funded expansion to bonds, leases, and project financing. Driven by massive AI infrastructure capital needs, tech, media, and telecom bond sales are expected to reach $540 billion this year. Additionally, JPMorgan estimates that over $2 trillion may be required for AI chips over the next five years.
