Wireless Mic + Local Dictation: A Silent Workflow for AI Prompts
DevDminGod · x · 2026-08-09
A developer shared a practical workflow for enhancing AI prompt input using a wireless lavalier microphone. By attaching the receiver to a machine and enabling the mic's voice isolation feature, users can whisper their prompts inaudibly.
Combined with Apple's native local voice-to-text, this setup provides instant and highly accurate transcription. It allows users to dictate prompts without disturbing people around them.
Furthermore, by remapping the microphone's button using Karabiner and managing the input via Typewisper, users can easily toggle dictation on and off, enabling a completely hands-free and relaxed AI interaction experience.
