OpenAI and Anthropic Members Publicly Spar Over User Account Ban

Tibo from OpenAI and Boris from Anthropic recently engaged in a public spat on X. The conflict started when a developer followed OpenAI's guidelines to use GPT models within Claude Code but got their account banned.
After the user questioned the ban, staff from both companies began trading remarks. Boris invited Tibo to join Anthropic, while Tibo responded by resetting Codex limits, a move seen as mocking Anthropic's perceived closedness. Tibo also mentioned another reset on Monday, noting that weekend resets are largely performative.
