ByteDance Seedance 2.5 Tops Video Generation, Meta Called Out for Lagging

The author points out that despite having massive Instagram training data, Meta still lacks a SOTA video generation tool like ByteDance's Seedance 2.5, calling it the biggest loss in the AI race for Meta.
Quoting @levelsio, while the public focuses on LLMs, Seedance 2.5 has quietly become the new SOTA video model. With just a few reference photos, it achieves high-fidelity character likeness and professional cinematic shots, solving the character consistency issue in video models. Generating a 15-second video takes about 4 minutes, and it is now live on Photo AI.
