Overeasy: A Durable, Forkable Filesystem Overlay Backed by S3
charles_irl · x · 2026-08-09
A new project called Overeasy introduces a durable filesystem overlay backed by immutable logs on S3.
It brings three core capabilities to your filesystem:
- Forkable: Supports forking filesystem states like version control.
- Resumable across machines: Allows seamless recovery of work progress across different machines.
- Revertible: Enables reverting to any prior state at any time.
