Google DeepMind has launched Gemini Robotics ER 2, a high-level brain for robots capable of thinking while they move. The model features real-time video understanding, multi-robot collaboration, and sub-second latency.
On robotics evals, it outperforms Opus 5 and Sol while being faster and cheaper. It is now live in the Gemini API, with a demo showing a robot dog delivering popcorn on command.
