Cognitive scientist Joscha Bach offers a philosophical perspective on the nature of AI. He argues that AI is not something entirely "artificial," but rather a generalization and extension of the thinking and information processing that humans already do. In this sense, "we are the AI."
He also points out that while pursuing advanced intelligence, intelligence itself is actually the smaller part of the problem. The much bigger challenge lies in achieving effective coordination.
