OpenAI co-founder Greg Brockman noted that GPT-4 finished training exactly four years ago today.
Prominent AI researcher Andrew Curran reshared the post, calling GPT-4 his favorite model of all time. He described early interactions with the model as unearthly, akin to conversing with an alien visitor. This profound experience made him realize that AI would spark not merely a technical revolution, but something far stranger. Curran added that everything that has unfolded in the AI space over the past four years has happened in the shadow of GPT-4.
