Opinion: The Future of AI Video is Mixed-Reality Sandbox, Not Film

Creative director Jon Finger shared his vision for the future interaction of generative AI. He believes that in the long run, these systems will evolve into sandbox-style world-building that can be mixed with reality as much as desired.
Very few people will type prompts manually, and pure prompt-to-video will account for only a tiny percentage of film use cases. For him, the only value of prompt-to-video today is quickly understanding model capabilities to enhance slower, more playful creative processes.
