Bittensor's Cascade shifts to warm starts to continuously improve time-series forecasting

Cascade, a subnetwork of Bittensor (TAO), has transitioned its time-series forecasting competition from 'cold starts' to 'warm starts'.
- Cold Start Phase: Every competition began with a freshly initialized Toto-2 4M model to fairly identify which miners could generate the best synthetic time-series data (incorporating trends, seasons, shocks, etc.).
- Warm Start Phase: Moving forward, the strongest checkpoint from previous rounds will serve as the shared starting point. This allows the network to continuously learn and compound its forecasting intelligence.
The ultimate goal is to test whether this decentralized, continuously improving mechanism can eventually beat established forecasting models on independent benchmarks.
