AI Agents Raise Cybersecurity Threat Profiles, Rendering Current Defenses Inadequate

Cybersecurity experts point out that the proliferation of AI agents will massively elevate the threat profile for all organizations. Historically, companies matched their security investments to their specific threat context (e.g., intel agency vs. regional bank vs. micro-SaaS).
However, going forward, even organizations that were previously 'appropriately' resourced may find themselves severely under-resourced. Simply putting advanced AI models in the hands of defenders won't be enough, as effective security still requires organizational capacity, overcoming internal hurdles, and deep core knowledge.
