Panpsychism Fails to Solve the Hard Problem of Consciousness

Tony Sobrado argues that panpsychism, increasingly viewed as a leading solution to the hard problem of consciousness, actually fails to resolve it. Instead, it merely inverts and multiplies the issues.
If matter arises from some fundamental consciousness, we still face an emergence problem comparable to the original hard problem. Furthermore, this creates a "combination problem": the unresolved question of how separate bits of conscious matter combine to form a single unified entity.
