Medical AI Leader Daniel Hashimoto to Join Duke Surgery Faculty

Duke Surgery announced that Daniel Hashimoto, a prominent expert in AI and data science for surgery, will join its faculty this fall as an Associate Professor. He will also serve as Director of Surgical Informatics.
Hashimoto previously led the Penn Computer Assisted Surgery and Outcomes (PCASO) Lab at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on translating data science and AI into surgical care and medical education.
