Google DeepMind Unveils Gemini Robotics 2 for Whole-Body Humanoid Intelligence
minchoi · x · 2026-08-08
Google DeepMind introduced Gemini Robotics 2, designed to power the next generation of adaptable robots with intelligent whole-body control, advanced dexterity, and multi-robot collaboration.
Acting as an intelligence layer, the model enables robots to reason through movements to perform complex tasks. For instance, a humanoid can walk, crouch, stretch, and clean up a cluttered room, or team up with other robots to finish jobs faster.
Profoundly, this intelligence can run locally on-device and seamlessly adapt to entirely new robotic bodies in just a few hours.
