Meta CTO Says AI-Freed Time Should Go to New Projects, Not Vacation

Meta's CTO, Boz, recently told employees that any extra time freed up by AI should not be used for vacation, but rather towards building "cooler stuff" at Meta. He added that requesting more time off is not a good career strategy.
In response, commentator @AndrewSchmidtFC pushed back against techno-optimist fantasies, arguing that if one believes AGI will lead to four-day work weeks and widely-distributed wealth, the burden of proof is on them.
