Mattshumer's prompt auto-upgrades Claude Code skills for Opus 5 via blind-test gauntlet
mattshumer_ · x · 2026-08-08
Mattshumer released a prompt that audits and upgrades Claude Code skills written for older models (e.g., Opus 4.8) to work better with Opus 5. It uses a 'Gauntlet Loop' to rewrite and blind-test each skill against the original until the new version is clearly better, otherwise it's retired. Steps: paste the prompt in Claude Code, select skills, and let it run. It creates a local HTML dashboard and keeps immutable copies. Backup your skills folder first.
