Building a Firebending WebGPU Demo from Scratch with Claude Opus
Real-Car-1561 · reddit · 2026-08-08
Inspired by recent desert and waterbending demos, a developer used Claude Code with Claude 3.5 Opus (on high effort, Pro plan) to create a firebending visual demo.
- Development Process: The author adapted the prompt from the waterbending demo into a firebending specification using Opus, building everything from scratch without reusing the original code.
- Iterative Prompting: The initial prompt only created the base. The author had to write many additional prompts to guide Opus further, meaning this was not a one-shot generation.
- Try it out: The demo is accessible online but requires a WebGPU-capable computer.
