Wayve Unveils GAIA-4 World Model: Solving Safety Simulation for Autonomous Driving
alexgkendall · x · 2026-08-08
Autonomous driving company Wayve has officially released its latest world model, GAIA-4. CEO Alex Kendall highlighted this as the culmination of a decade of physical AI research, transitioning from mere scene generation to measuring end-to-end safety at scale.
By putting the Wayve AI Driver in the loop, GAIA-4 demonstrates for the first time how a world model can be used in a production-scale safety-critical simulation environment, addressing the challenge of preventing hallucinations and ensuring trustworthiness.
