Starting August 14, Anthropic's Claude Code will enable Auto mode by default for Pro, Max, and Team users.
The mode uses a separate classifier to review shell commands and actions. Internal testing shows it catches 89% of dangerous commands, compared to just 14% caught by manual approval.
