LangChain · x · 2026-08-07
Based on billions of agent runs observed via the LangSmith platform, LangChain released a new trend report.
The data reveals that open-weight models are rapidly gaining production traction: 1 in 3 active teams ran an open-weight model in July, up from 1 in 5 a year ago. Teams running open-weight models daily grew 9x year-over-year, compared to 4.8x growth for closed models.
