A GitHub repository named systempromptsleaks has collected verbatim system prompts from 16 AI companies, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Copilot, Perplexity, Cursor, DeepSeek, and Kimi. The repo has 62.4k stars and is regularly updated. The Washington Post built an interactive story based on these files, and CEPS created a data dashboard. Ironically, Microsoft owns GitHub, and Copilot's leaked prompt sits on its own servers. The maintainer is an AI hobbyist from Iceland.
