Mapping 750 Videos: Claude Agent Automatically Plots YouTuber's Global Motorcycle Routes

A developer shared an incredible case study of using Claude (Fable + Opus 4.8) to automatically build an interactive map for a favorite YouTube motorcycle adventurer, Itchy Boots. With nearly 1,000 videos spanning global solo journeys, mapping her routes is a mammoth task.
Faced with the complex pipeline of downloading videos, researching metadata, transcribing audio, identifying place names, geolocating, and path routing, Claude autonomously built a complete workflow. It utilized subagents for web calls to geocode names into coordinates and spent about 6 hours of compute time transcribing audio locally on an M2 MacBook Pro. The final result successfully linked specific map sectors to relevant video episodes, producing a visualization far better than the developer had imagined.
