Testing NVIDIA Nemotron 3.5 ASR: Ultra-Fast but Struggles with Clinical Drug Names

MaziyarPanahi · x · 2026-08-07

A developer tested NVIDIA's Nemotron 3.5 ASR model on an Nvidia A10 GPU. Results show blazing fast streaming, with the first text chunk taking only 1.1 seconds and a final lag of just 40ms on synthetic discharge instructions.

However, accuracy issues were apparent: while it caught "five milligrams twice daily," it missed critical drug names like warfarin and apixaban. This highlights the classic clinical AI tradeoff between speed and precision, suggesting the need for domain-specific fine-tuning in healthcare.
